Think Progress Smears Jenna Bush

...and its readers overwhelmingly tell it to leave the story alone!

There's moral decency out there, somewhere.

Two years is a long time for things to change. With all the important things that Bush Co. is lying about these days, why is TP wasting it’s time with this?

I agree… this is trashy reporting… I expect better thing coming from thinkprogress. 2 YEARS IS PLENTY OF TIME FOR THINGS TO GET SERIOUS.Time for THINK PROGRESS to get SERIOUS about their reporting!

Don’t we have more important things to have our hair on fire about?

This is lame. I don’t care. Think Progress, focus on substantial things, please.

This is lame and has no bearing on politics. I expect to hear about these types of “news” issues on Digg or Reddit.

I agree with the above comments. Who cares about this?

Not to say some weren't harsh:

May happiness elude them…
…and tragedy befall them…
…at every turn…

Sigh.

Update: ThinkProgress updates its site, linking to its response at NewsBusters (but no link to my blog). Thanks for the snub!

Update: Continue reading the comments on this post, they keep pouring in, and they are overwhelmingly critical of ThinkProgress. Somebody's got egg on their face:
I too, have to agree with some of the others above. This just smells of a bad attempt to point out some inconsistency in the opposition’s position. One, this really is not political and two, as others have said two years is a long time for things to change. With all the important things that Bush Co. is lying about these days, why is TP wasting it’s time with this? I don’t recall either of the twins coming out as bona fide fundie prudes. There may not even be any hypocrisy to harp about here. There is much more important issues and plenty of conservative hypocrisy to point out. Tell us about that instead.
