No War! I'm anti-violence!
...except when resisting arrest?
A woman is arrested during an anti-war demonstration to mark the 4th anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in San Francisco, California, March 19, 2007.
I was arrested for protesting once, but I can tell you the police did not need to carry me away like that. How thin is the line between effusive anti-war rhetoric and stylized dramatization? How many protesters are sincere, and how many are really just issuing a cry for help because mommy and daddy's lives are too busy to take notice? How many participants got sucked in because of a boyfriend or girlfriend? How many will grow out of it? How many will be on the other side of the fence twenty years from now?
