Iran, Syria strategically linked: Leader

TEHRAN -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed AliKhamenei said here on Sunday that Iran and Syria are strategic allies.

Harsh words for the U.S. :

Referring to the complicated and sensitive situation in the region and Syria’s good stance in regard to regional developments, the Leader stated, “The realities of the region show that the main loser in regional issues will be the bullying arrogant front led by the United States and its allies.

“The U.S. ambitions in Iraq have not been realized at all, and there is also no indication that they will be realized. “In addition to the United States’ serious problems in the region, the current standing of its president has been harmed to the extent that even people in his own party have stood up against his policies.”
